One woman every week leaves Kerry in order to access abortion services abroad. 56 women made that journey in 2015. 63 women made that journey in 2014. 51 women made that journey in 2013. 74 women made that journey in 2012.

One woman every week leaves Kerry to access abortion services abroad. We don’t know how many women did not give their Kerry address. We do not know how many women travelled to countries other than England or Wales. We do not know how many women may have accessed the safe, but illegal in Ireland, abortion pills online.

Did they need to arrange childcare? Did they have anyone to turn to? Were their friends or family supportive? Did they have someone to go with them?
